Neuro-Affirming, Inclusive & Culturally Responsive Care

I am committed to providing a neuro-affirming, inclusive, and culturally responsive service where clients feel respected, understood, and can be themselves without judgement.

I welcome clients from diverse cultural and spiritual backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations, and lived experiences. My approach is grounded in curiosity, openness, and an understanding that people experience the world, relationships, emotions, and communication differently. I aim to provide care that acknowledges the broader social, cultural, historical, and relational contexts that shape wellbeing.

Areas of particular interest in my practice include ADHD and neurodivergence across the lifespan, particularly in adolescent and adult women. I have a special interest in the experience of late diagnosis and the intersection between neurodivergence and hormonal transitions across the lifespan — including puberty, the menstrual cycle, perimenopause, and menopause.

I work extensively with issues of self, including self-esteem, identity, belonging, and connection, and support clients navigating questions around sexuality, gender identity, and authenticity. I strive to provide a therapeutic space that is affirming, respectful, and free from shame or stigma

I also have a particular interest in chronic pain, chronic illness, and the mind–body connection, which has informed my doctoral work and continues to shape my understanding of the complex relationship between physical and psychological health.

I enjoy supporting clients navigating relationship difficulties, family separation, and recurring interpersonal patterns. While I now work primarily with individuals, I bring training in couples therapy to this work, particularly in understanding communication patterns, attachment needs, and relationship dynamics. I am fully trained in the Gottman Method.

I am an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) counsellor and am committed to providing care that is culturally safe, collaborative, and responsive to each person's cultural background and lived experience. I recognise the impact of broader social, historical, and intergenerational factors on wellbeing, and value building therapeutic relationships based on trust, respect, and genuine partnership.
