Fees & Rebates
Fees
The fee for each consultation is $275, payable PRIOR to each consultation.
Psychological reports are available at $275 per page.
Other written documentation is charged at the same rate and prorated according to time required.
Please note that appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged at full rate.
Fees are reviewed annually.
Rebates
Medicare
Medicare rebates are available to clients who obtain a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from either their GP (general practitioner), paediatrician or psychiatrist. This entitles you to 10 sessions per calendar year for which you can claim a rebate. The rebate is $149.05 per session. The increase to Medicare rebates is generally between 2.4 – 2.6%, effective from 1 July of each year.
Your initial referral from your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician will refer you for 6 psychological sessions. If you need more, you will need to return to your doctor for a mental health review, and they will decide if they can refer you for further sessions.
Medicare rebates can be claimed from either face-to-face or telehealth appointments.
Private Health
Rebates can also be provided under all private health funds. The amount of the rebate will depend on your level of cover and inclusions. You cannot claim a rebate from your private health fund if you have already claimed a rebate from Medicare – and vice versa.
Third party Insurers (ICWA, Work Cover, Private insurers)
If you have a motor vehicle personal injury or workers compensation claim, you may be eligible for psychological services under the Insurance Commission Western Australia (ICWA), your employer’s insurer or other third party insurers. Refer to these agencies, your employer and/or WorkCover WA for further information.
